What on earth is Regenerative Organic Farming?

Learn about our commitment to sustainable practices that restore soil health, enhance biodiversity, and promote ecological balance through regenerative organic farming methods.

Combining Practices...

Organic farming, as governed by the Soil Association, focuses on avoiding synthetic inputs like pesticides and fertilizers.

Whilst there is no single governing body for Regenerative agriculture like there is for Organic, there are recognized principles and organizations that guide these practices.

Regenerative agriculture views the farm as a living ecosystem and aims to improve its overall health and resilience.

A key aspect is utilizing the natural behaviors of livestock.

Cows from the Roaming Dairy graze the Herbal Lay daily, being milked in the field every morning and then moved to fresh pasture.

As Organic Certified producers, we not only adhere to all Organic regulations but also go beyond, producing healthy food that improves soil health, increases organic matter, and enhances biodiversity.

Kingsclere Estates integrates both Organic and Regenerative principles into their farming practices.

Roughly half of the land is dedicated to crop production, while the other half is covered in a thick carpet of Herbal Lay. These areas are rotated every 8 years.

Our hens then follow, spreading the cow manure and cleaning the fields of parasites while enjoying the freedom to wander and explore.

This cycle continues, creating a harmonious and regenerative system.

Our practices sequester carbon in the soil, mitigating climate change, and reduce runoff and pollution of nearby waterways, enhancing biodiversity within the farm ecosystem.
